This inaugural virtual internship came was born when pandemic restrictions prevented a previously-scheduled on-site internship with students.
Rather than do the simple thing and cancel or postpone the internship, we evolved the curriculum and expanded the intent.
Upon completion of the condensed learning experience, the student will have an understanding of many manufacturing concepts and themes, presented in a way to prompt fresh perspectives and explore possibilities in the industry. Understanding what is expected of someone in manufacturing will help develop the student as an even better engineer and project manager, or related role.
